故事发生在东京的一个晚上，一名时运耗尽的拳击名手利奥（洼田正孝饰）遇到了他的初恋莫妮卡（小西樱子饰），而昔日初恋竟变成了一名吸毒的应召女郎，莫妮卡不知不觉陷入毒品走私计划之中，两人在这晚被腐败的警察、黑帮、利奥的对手以及三合会派来的杀手追杀。
在此前举办的日本首映礼上，主创洼田正孝也回忆了该片的拍摄故事：“基本上和三池先生共事的时候都是晚上，导演非常擅长夜晚。导演推我一把让我看清角色，那种说不出的感觉，汽车的场景也是，现在的话很多用CG做，但是导演要求逼真实拍，只能说导演脑子疯了，但是，我认为这就是我们所追求的。”
