光灵拍续集 “史皇”回归光灵2 由惊天魔盗团导演执导
据外媒消息，《惊天魔盗团》导演路易斯·莱特里尔将执导网飞出品电影《光灵2》，前作主演“史皇”威尔·史密斯、乔尔·埃哲顿也将回归出演，《移动迷宫》系列编剧T·S·诺林将改写前作导演大卫·阿耶与编剧埃文·斯彼里奥托普洛斯此前联合撰写的剧本，大卫·阿耶也一并退出导演工作。
前作《光灵》的故事背景设置在一个平行世界，人类、兽人、妖精等物种和平共处。影片的两位主人公来自不同的物种，人类沃德（威尔·史密斯饰演）和兽人雅各布比（乔尔·埃哲顿饰演）在一次例行夜间巡逻中，遇上了将会改变未来和他们所处世界的黑暗势力。
《光灵》制作成本近1亿美元，2017年上线网飞平台后，整体收视表现佳，成为网飞历史上播放次数最多的电影之一，但是影片没有获得良好的口碑评价。可是这并不影响网飞继续开发这个系列，2018年网飞宣布拍摄续集，大卫·阿耶继续执导该片并撰写影片剧本,如今，该片导演换成了路易斯·莱特里尔。网飞目前正计划尽快开拍这部续作。
