赵婷导演的《无依之地》近期横扫北美颁奖季，剑指奥斯卡，同时她也在制作漫威超级英雄电影《永恒族》。赵婷此前表示《无依之地》的创作灵感源于王家卫的《春光乍泄》，而她近日接受媒体采访时透露，《永恒族》的创作灵感则来自小李子主演的奥斯卡夺奖之作《荒野猎人》。
赵婷说：“《永恒族》参考了许多电影，因为电影规模问题，我不得不这样做。在动作戏方面我和我的团队合作得非常愉快，我想我们大量参考了《荒野猎人》，这是一部我非常喜欢的电影。因为大部分动作戏都是外景拍摄，每次开会讨论动作戏段落我们都会看《荒野猎人》，我记得我们已经看了很多遍了。我很喜欢《荒野猎人》中身临其境的感觉，这绝对是我们向往拍摄的电影，而漫威真的非常支持这个想法，也真的想将其付诸实践。”《荒野猎人》以长镜头段落拍摄，按赵婷说法，《永恒族》的动作戏应该也会采用长镜头风格。
《永恒族》由赵婷执导，理查德·麦登、安吉丽娜·朱莉、库梅尔·南贾尼、马东锡、萨尔玛·海耶克等主演，讲述数百万年前，当时被称为“天神”的宇宙生物通过基因实验，创造出了拥有超能力的永恒族和异常族，两个族群一直互相争斗的故事。该片计划2021年11月5日在北美上映。
