身患鼻咽癌的演员金宇彬时隔七个月公开近况，发布手写信：“我一直在犹豫，不知道该如何提笔写第一句。我本应早点告诉大家消息的，可是由于一直忙着治疗，七个月的时间眨眼就过去了。其实在很长一段时间里，每次我的名字上了热搜我都会有些害怕，不知不觉间时间就这么晃过去了，不过我还是觉得得在这一年过去之前说点什么。先说说大家最想知道的我的病情吧，我在去年五月被诊断为我这辈子第一次听说的鼻咽癌，此前确定拍摄的电影导演、前后辈演员们和工作人员对我很关照，很快我就能得以调整好所有日程，开始接受治疗。多亏了大家的鼓励和祈祷，我顺利接受了3次抗癌治疗和35次放射治疗，治疗过程中看着大家发来的鼓励的文字，让我更加有勇气，真的谢谢大家。现在我已经顺利完成治疗，在周期性地进行后续检查和恢复治疗，我能进行简单的散步，也能规律地吃饭，我感觉体力也比从前好了一些。不过还需要一段时间才能和大家见面，很惭愧让大家看到了我生病的样子，我以后会更加注意自己的身体，努力给大家带来好消息。我祈祷在我艰难时候陪伴我人和家人能够在新年迎来奇迹，也希望2018年大家都幸福健康。我一定会恢复健康，很快来和大家见面，谢谢大家，我爱你们。”
